Our desserts captured the attention of a worldwide audience after being featured on the hit TV show Sex and the City, the SNL Digital Short: Lazy Sunday and in popular movies such as The Devil Wears Prada and Prime. Answer: Most, but not all, of our cakes can be decorated. Some cakes will not hold elaborate decorations because of the texture of the icing. Cakes that cannot be decorated or have an inscription include: Coconut, German Chocolate, Icebox cake, Flourless Chocolate cake and Lemon Vanilla Bundt cake. For decorating ideas, please click here.
Answer: No, that will dry them out. We specialize in old-fashioned baked goods, made from scratch and baked in small batches throughout the day, using only the finest ingredients. Our product is made without preservatives and should be enjoyed on the day received. If you plan on storing them overnight, tightly wrap the box in plastic wrap and leave at room temperature.
Answer: We use a variety of premium ingredients in our cupcakes and icings, including milk, cream, butter, eggs, sugar and flour. Our cupcakes do not contain any preservatives or trans fats in either the cake or icing. Currently, we do not have any other nutritional information available for review.
Answer: We do not bake in an allergen-free environment. While we do have select products that do not contain wheat or nuts, all of our products are baked in an environment where wheat, dairy and nuts are present in high volumes. Due to the presence of these allergens at all of our baking facilities, we do not recommend consuming any of our desserts if you are allergic to wheat, nuts or dairy.
Answer: Magnolia Bakery creates beautiful dessert tables and cupcake tree displays for all types of celebrations, from weddings and graduations to birthdays and corporate events. We offer drop-off catering services or can host an event in the private party room of our Columbus Avenue location on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. We also offer cupcake decorating and icing demonstration tables to delight and entertain your guests.
Answer: Our Columbus Avenue location on the Upper West Side of Manhattan offers space for all-inclusive parties for children and adults. Children can decorate chef hats, hand color sprinkles and learn how to ice a cupcake like our experts. Goody bags, balloons and a customized birthday cake are all included. You invite the guests and we’ll take care of the rest!

Answer: We recommend that you call the bakery to place your order at least 48 hours in advance. We can usually accommodate most orders, however, the more notice you give us the more likely we will be able to fulfill your order.
Answer: Yes! We ship via FedEx within the United States through out website online store. International orders for Magnolia Bakery merchandise can also be placed through our website. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship baked goods outside of the United States due to customs restrictions.
Answer: Yes, if you have a Magnolia Bakery gift card and want to use it for an online purchase, please call 855-MBAKERY (855-622-5379). Our customer service representative will convert the amount on your physical gift card to an eGift Certificate that can easily be used on our website. The amount will immediately be deducted from your gift card and the credit will only be good for purchases made on our online store.
Answer: Sorry, at this time we do not allow substitutions to our product assortments, and only offer items to be shipped as they are listed. Check back frequently for new flavors, seasonal and holiday specialty items, and baker’s choice selections.
Answer: At Magnolia Bakery, everything is made fresh from scratch using the finest ingredients. Since we bake to order, we cannot ship same day. All orders placed before 2:00 PM EST will be processed the next day to ship the following business day.
Answer: We are sorry we are unable to specify an exact delivery time. Use your tracking number to track the status of your package on Fedex.com. Deliveries typically occur during normal business hours and depend on the service selected. Your tracking number may not appear in the FedEx tracking system for 24 hours. Please be patient. You will be able to see it flow through the FedEx system and know the exact day it will arrive.
Answer: While Magnolia Bakery does not require a signature for your delivery, we can only guarantee the quality of our product if it is received by the shipping time selected by the customer at the time of purchase. According to FedEx policy, their drivers will only leave the package at a recipient’s door, or other secure location, if the driver believes it is ‘safe’ and reasonable to do so. For this reason, it is also necessary for customers to notify a gift recipient of their sweet surprise before the date of delivery.
