We’re pleased to announce our partnership with urban greenwalk, a movement to educate individuals and communities on actionable green initiatives and personal eco-responsibility. The organization will launch in Manhattan tomororw with a signature video walk along the Bleecker Street retail corridor between Bank and Charles Streets.
As part of the initative, Magnolia Bakery’s Bleecker Street location will be offering a special Earth Day cupcake from April 20-April 28. All of our NYC locations will offer the cupcake on April 22 (Earth Day).100% of the proceeds benefit urban greenwalk’s collective of non-profit organizations. Green Thumb, GrowNYC, Natural Areas Conservancy, Riverykeeper, Solar One, Transportation Alternatives and Waterkeeper Alliance.
In addition to Magnolia, urban greenwalk is collaborating with brands along the street – Bonpoint, Burberry Brit, Jimmy Choo, Juicy Couture, LuLu Guinness, Marc Jacobs, NARS, Ralph Lauren, Robert Marc, and more – and will activate storefront windows and create a continuous video installation with content specific to initiatives supporting the platforms of participating organizations: Green Thumb, GrowNYC, Natural Areas Conservancy, Riverkeeper, Solar One, Transportation Alternatives and Waterkeeper Alliance.
Green goers participating in urban greenwalk will learn that an eco-conscience lifestyle can be accessible and entertaining for city dwellers.
